Almost Heaven, West Virgina

The late, great, John Denver once sang, "Almost Heaven, West Virginia." So that begs the question:

What will heaven (Celestial Kingdom) be like? What do you imagine? Will it be fun? How much laughter constitutes loud laughter?

Appreciate your thoughts....

West Virginia, heaven? Dude, that John Denver is full of it.

Loud laughter is probably too loud when it is directed at someone besides your own faults and follies. Less about volume and more about motivation.

"Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye"

Does that mean in heaven we are crying because we are laughing so hard because we are drunk off moonshine? Well, "almost heaven"; is he referring to the Terrestrial or Telestial by inferring that the Celestial is "heaven", or to Outer Darkness where they drink moonshine?

I agree in substance that once laughter shifts away from yourself towards someone else, it is probably inappropriate. I think that there still is an element of volume involved.

I tell my kids they will be busy enrolling in Basic Harp Harmonies, Even You Can Fly With Wings, and Polishing One's Halo. I don't want them to think it's going to be all leisure time.

Why does your heaven sound like something out of Book 8, "Harry Potter and the 3 Degrees of Glory!"?
